My journey began in 2022, after being diagnosed with Covid followed by a 3-month unemployment period. I found myself facing homelessness in Wake County, NC.

Engaging in arts and crafts has served as a powerful outlet for stress during times of adversity, offering a creative escape from overwhelming emotions. The tactile nature of crafting encourages mindfulness, allowing focus on the present moment and channeling feelings into tangible creations. The process fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-expression, helping to alleviate anxiety. Ultimately, arts and crafts provide a therapeutic way to navigate challenges, transforming adversity into an opportunity for healing and personal growth.
